Hylandová vytvořila velmi zajímavé dílo... Je to navíc dílo, které svým prostým a nekomplikovaným jazykem nediskvalifikuje české čtenáře, tedy ty, kteří neovládají angličtinu zrovna na profesionální úrovni. Přečíst si tento román v angličtině nemusí být pro ně tak nelehký úkol, jako u mnoha jiných knih, nadto jim, pokud se budou chtít s dílem Mary J. Hylandové seznámit, asi ani nic jiného nezbude, vzhledem k tomu, že se román s největší pravděpodobností českého překladu v nejbližší době nedočká.
