Kniha představí více než 40 staveb čínských architektů, které vznikly v letech 2003 až 2008. Výběr reprezentuje novou generaci architektů tvořící v zemi, jejíž stavební tempo je v posledním desetiletí nezastavitelné. Obsahuje např. China Architecture Design & Research Group (podíleli se na Ptačím hnízdě), Jiakun Architects, Atelier Deshaus, Mada s.p.a.m (spolupracoval na CCTV Media Tower v Pekingu), proslulá kancelář MAD, TM Studio, Urbanus a Studio Pei-Zhu (olympijská budova Digital Beijing).
