The Ghost of Peace, the third book in the Galician Saga, covers the events of 1923-1928. On March 15, 1923, in Paris, it was decided to transfer Eastern Galicia, where the Ukrainian population predominated, to Poland’s government. Not everyone liked this decision. The Galician territories were filled with Polish military settlers, on whom Józef Pilsudski had high hopes; as a result of the so-called "school plebiscite" the number of Ukrainian schools was significantly reduced; Ukrainians were being dismissed from the civil service ... To counter this, experienced in fighting for their homeland veterans unite: someone joins the Ukrainian Military Organization and continues the armed struggle; someone understands that the onslaught of Polish settlers can be overcome only together by creating cooperatives; someone is looking for happiness overseas... Life has not only scattered characters across different countries, but also divided by different ideologies. So far, they are not at war with each other, but who knows what will happen next?
