Kvalitně vypravený katalog přináší pohled do jedné kolekce z bohatých sbírek orientálního umění v Národní galerii v Praze. Je určen jak laickým zájemcům o čínské umění, tak specializovaným badatelům. V úvodu je nastíněna stručná historie kolekce. Navazuje odborná stať kurátorky výstavy, která se zabývá vývojem, historickým pozadím a technologií čínské keramiky. Je členěna do třech kapitol (archaická keramika, klasická keramika, keramika dynastií Ming a Čching), poté následuje vědecky zpracovaný katalog vystavených předmětů s černobílými reprodukcemi a příloha s barevnými fotografiemi.

A quality laid out catalogue lets us have a look into one set of the wide collections of oriental art in the National Gallery in Prague. It is intended for both professional and nonprofessional public. The introduction briefly characterises the history of the collection. It is followed by a specialized essay written by a curator of the exhibition that deals with the development, historical background and technology of the Chinese pottery. It is divided into three chapters (archaic pottery, classic pottery, pottery of the Ming and the Tching dynasties); followed by a scientifically treated item catalogue with black-and-white reproductions and an appendix with colour photographs.

Dieser sehr gut ausgestattete Katalog bietet dem Leser einen Einblick in eine der reichen Sammlungen der orientalischen Kunst der Nationalgalerie in Prag. Er ist sowohl für die Laien, die sich für die chinesische Kunst interessieren, als auch für spezialisierte Forscher bestimmt. In der Einleitung wird die Historie der Kollektion kurz beschrieben, dann folgt ein Artikel von der Kuratorin der Ausstellung, in dem sich diese mit der Entwicklung, dem historischen Hintergrund und der Technologie der chinesischen Keramik befaßt. Auf diesen in drei Teile gegliederten Artikel (archaische Keramik, klassische Keramik, Keramik der Dynastien Ming und Ch'ing) schließt ein wissenschaftlicher Katalog der ausgestellten Objekte mit schwarzweißen Reproduktionen und eine Anlage mit Farbbildern an.
